Why we built this with Golf South West, not around them

Most golf trip platforms try to solve tee time access with technology alone, a bigger database, a slicker search box. It does not work, because tee time access is fundamentally a relationship problem, not a data problem.

Who Golf South West are

Golf South West are golf travel specialists, IAGTO members, and the preferred Southwest golf travel partner of Golf Tourism England. They have spent years building direct relationships with clubs across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, and Somerset, the exact courses this pilot covers.

What that means for a tee time request on this site

When you request a tee time through Fairway & Onward, it goes to people who already have a working relationship with the club, not a cold booking attempt against a system the club barely maintains. That is why tee times take up to 24 hours to confirm instead of being instant, and why the confirmation is worth waiting for.

Why we did not try to build this ourselves

Building direct relationships with every club in the Southwest from scratch would take years and would still end up worse than partnering with someone who already did the work. Our job is speed and clarity on travel, hotel, and pricing. Golf South West's job is the part that only works with a genuine relationship. Neither side pretends to do the other's job.
